50-game suspension handed out and has already been discussed in news magazine:

Journeyman infielder Kevin Frandsen, who’s currently playing for the Phillies’ Triple-A affiliate, has been suspended 50 games for violating the minor-league drug policy, according to Michael Lore of theLehigh Valley Express Times.

Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports that Frandsen tested positive for Ritalin.

Frandsen signed a minor-league deal with the Phillies in late March after being released by the Padres during spring training. He’s hitting .321 with three homers and an .873 OPS in 30 games at Lehigh Valley. He previously logged 626 plate appearances in various stints with the Giants and Angels, hitting just .243 with a .636 OPS serving mostly as a utility man.

He’s not the first player to be suspended for Ritalin and in fact Newsweek published an article entitled “Baseball Ritalin Addiction” way back in 2008.
